The Lead Organizer is a key volunteer leadership role within the Colorado Emergency Redistricting Powers Committee (CO-ERRA). This position coordinates the grassroots field effort to defend fair representation statewide.

Overview

The Lead Organizer oversees volunteer recruitment, field coordination, and petition signature gathering once the ballot measure phase begins. They work directly with the Executive Committee to plan outreach events, manage communication with regional volunteers, and ensure compliance with state signature-circulator regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit, train, and support volunteers across Colorado.
  • Coordinate house parties, community events, and petition drives.
  • Work closely with the Chair and Liaison Officer to plan signature collection timelines and field goals.
  • Track progress and maintain accurate volunteer and petition data.
  • Ensure all field operations comply with state campaign-finance and petition regulations.
  • Report updates at weekly Executive Committee meetings.

Qualifications

  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Experience in campaign fieldwork, community organizing, or volunteer coordination preferred.
  • Familiarity with Colorado elections or grassroots movements is a plus.
  • Ability to manage teams remotely and in-person across the state.

Time Commitment & Support

This is a volunteer position, expected to require roughly 3–6 hours per week depending on campaign phase. The Lead Organizer will have access to Committee resources, shared communication tools, and direct support from the Chair and Executive Committee.
